Detailed statistical data on voivodship have been grouped in 23 chapters, preceded by general notes explaining terminology, methodology and scope of information used in the publication. Three review tables containing major data on voivodship in years 2000, 2005 and 2009–2014 and selected data on voivodship compared with the rest of the country as well as its subregions in 2014 are presented at the beginning of the publication. Data on subregions (NTS 3) are presented according to the new division obligatory since 1 January 2015, as well as – in the annex – according to the division obligatory until 31 December 2014.

Presented statistical information has been enriched with maps and charts. The present edition of the Yearbook reflects changes resulting from an update of applied classifications and standards:

• due to continuation of works on implementation of methodical standards ESA 2010 data on regional accounts for the years 2010–2012 have been changed compared with those published in the previous edition,
• groups of fields of education have been presented based on the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED-F 2013).

Moreover, the previous thematic scope of the “Population” chapter has been enriched with information on residents.

Survey results of public statistics as well as non-statistical sources of information have been used while compiling the publication.
