The publication has been prepared with the use of the results of statistical surveys, of which on the basis of the data obtained from the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy as well as the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund.

The publication by its scope is strengthening the monitoring of cohesion policy in the region.

Information consists of methodological notes, synthesis of results of surveys and statistical tables.

Data in publication are grouped into four parts, presenting the following information:

• employment,
• unemployment,
• work conditions,
• wages and salaries.

As it was done for the previous years, the publication begins with review tables containing selected data on voivodship compared to the country, voivodship in 2005, 2008—2016 as well as data on subregions and powiats.

The publication is supplemented with graphs and maps illustrating selected statistical phenomena occurring in Mazowieckie Voivodship and compared to the country and other voivodships.
