The Statistical Office in Warsaw is a part of the official statistics, subordinate to the President of the Central Statistical Office, acting upon the basis of:

• Law of June 29th, 1995 on official statistics (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 649 and 730),
• Regulation no. 7 of the President of the Central Statistical Office of 22.09.2014 on the statute for the Statistical Office in Warsaw (Dz. Urz. GUS item 39, 2018, item 71 and 2019 item 10),
• Act of 21 November 2008 on civil service (Journal of Laws No. 227, item 1505 with amendments),
• Organisational Regulations of the Office.

Since 1 January 1999 the Statistical Office in Warsaw covers with its activities the territory of Mazowieckie voivodship. It performs its tasks both in its headquarters in Warsaw and in five branch offices: Ciechanów, Ostrołęka, Płock, Radom and Siedlce.

Tasks:

• dissemination of statistical data by telephone, mail and on site, in the form of publications and communiqués of the Central Statistical Office and Statistical Office in Warsaw,
• informing about new Central Statistical Office and Statistical Office in Warsaw publications, publications available in the Office’s library, publications on sale,
• receiving orders for unpublished statistical data, from the datasets of the Statistical Office and elaborating reports on the basis of information published by the Central Statistical Office and regional statistical offices.

Activities related to the national official business register of the entities of national economy REGON are run in the headquarters of the Office in Warsaw and in the Branch Offices in Ciechanów, Ostrołęka, Płock, Radom and Siedlce. More »

Information about economic entities registered in Mazowieckie voivodship, contained in REGON can be made available to all interested persons upon written expression of their interest. The building of the Statistical Office in Warsaw is partly accessible for the disabled persons. Corridors are wide enough. The building has a ramp leading to the REGON Room, however there is no ramp on the route to the Statistical Information Centre.

In the Branch Offices in Ciechanów, Płock and Radom corridors are wide enough and adjusted to the needs of the disabled. All buildings are equipped with ramps.

Branch Office in Siedlce does not have a ramp towards the entry, but inside the building the corridors are of the appropriate width.

The Branch Office in Ostrołęka has neither a ramp nor accessible corridors. Should a disabled person need to use the Office’s services an employee will go outside to meet her and collect the documents.

Since April 2012 it is possible to use the assistance of Sign language interpreter. More »

All persons interested in lodging a complaint or a suggestion can meet the Manager of the Organisation Department on the Office’s premises between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

In the branch offices complaints and suggestions can be lodged with the Branch Office Managers in the official working hours.

Director of the Statistical Office holds a consulting hour every Wednesday between 11:00 a.m. and noon (12:00); should Wednesday be a public holiday – the consulting hour is held on the nearest working day.
