In Mazowieckie voivodship the number of foster care families and children staying in them decreased. The number of care and education centres increased, and the number of residents decreased. The number of day-support centres and residents increased as well. The number of stationary social welfare facilities and their residents incrased.

The aim of the publication is to present data on quantity and quality changes in the size and structure of population, as well as data on: marriages, separations, divorces, births, deaths and population migrations, which give the opportunity to diagnose the demographic situation of Mazowieckie voivodship in 2017. Moreover, the data allow for analysing different areas of socio-economic life, e.g. data on population by educational and economic age groups enable to determine influence of demographic factor on future of educational system, labour market, and pension benefits.

At the end of 2017, out-patient health care services, within public funds, provided 3 028 out-patient departments and 307 doctors and stomatological practices, in which 48.1 mln consultations were provided. In turn, on the scene of incident over the past year, emergency rescue teams provided health services for 479.3 thous. persons. As of the end of 2017, there were 1 795 generally available pharmacies and 143 pharmaceutical outlets.

Information is characterized by an attractive form of graphics in the form of cartograms. Information is presented according to selected sections of PKD 2007.
