In this edition of the publication, many changes have been made to both the set of information presented and to the grouping of it. At present, the Report is a comprehensive analytical study relating to the development challenges of the country and voivodships contained in the National Strategy for Regional Development 2030. In this basic strategic document of the state’s regional policy, the challenges identified include: climate change; counteracting the negative effects of demographic processes; developing and supporting human and social capital; increase in the productivity and innovation of regional economies; development of infrastructure improving competitiveness, investment attractiveness and living conditions in regions; increasing the efficiency of development management (including financing development activities). The thematic layout of the publication was adapted to the set of challenges listed so that the information contained in individual chapters would allow for an effective identification of Mazovia’s development needs and would support regional analysis carried out to monitor the implementation of public policy assumptions. The analysis was made in various territorial sections, which made it possible to present social stratification and diversification in the economic development of the voivodship. The analytical text of the study was enriched with tables and graphic presentation in the form of maps and charts, which allows for quick and effective perception of statistical information and the spatial relations of phenomena presented through them. The basic part of the Report was supplemented with tables containing an overview of the most important data for Mazowieckie Voivodship and Warsaw capital city in retrospective and for the country. Graphical form was used to present selected data for Mazovia against the background of other voivodships. Data presented in the Report refer to 2019 or the last year available. To illustrate changes over time, some issues were presented in a multi-year retrospective. For most topics, the presentation of phenomena dates back to 2010. The population projection was presented in the horizon to 2030. The selected data refer to the average values for the country. Evaluate the study: |
