Summary:
Using data from statistical surveys and from other sources Statistical Office in Warsaw has prepared the 2 edition of the publication “Sport in mazowieckie voivodship”.
This issue, presented in the form of graphics and tables contains rich information about state and achievements in sport of mazowieckie voivodship in 2008-2012. The issue is preceded by general notes, glossary of terms and characteristics of sources from which the data have been drawn. Especially interesting are those which allow to compare the results achieved by powiats and those which show the position of mazovian sport on the background of the other voivodships.
Information presented in five parts gives characteristics of: Polish Sport Associations and selected physical education organizations, sports facilities, sports clubs and achievements of competitors participating in top international championships. In the last part concerning children and youth sport there is information concerning competition of children and youth from schools and groups talented at sport in competitions organised for particular age groups as well as information on sports training organised for talented groups.
