The Statistical Office in Warszawa presents the publication „Size, demographic and social structure of the population in Mazowieckie Voivodship in the light of the 2021 Census results” presenting the results of the National Population and Housing Census, which was carried out in Poland in the period from 1 April to 30 September 2021, as of the state on 31 March 2021. 

The publication is a thematic study on the state and demographic structure of the Voivodship’s population, enriched with social characteristics in terms of country of birth and citizenship, level of education, disability, as well as national, ethnic and religious affiliation. In addition, basic information was presented about persons staying in collective accommodation facilities and about migrating persons, taking into account the directions of movement. The analytical part was enriched with graphic presentation in the form of maps and charts. 

A wide range of information obtained in the census may constitute the basis for conducting in-depth analyses and taking stock of the changes that occurred over the years 2011–2021. To make this possible, basic information and groupings were presented against the background of the results of the National Population and Housing Census 2011. 

As the results of the census are further developed, further thematic publications will be successively published within this publishing series, including: population on the labour market, families and housing conditions. These publications will be available in a book version, as well as on the website of the Statistical Office in Warszawa warszawa.stat.gov.pl. 

Data in a broader thematic scope are published in the Local Data Bank (National Censuses) and on the website of the Statistics Poland in the thematic area „National Censuses”.
