Summary:
The Warsaw Metropolitan Area consists of 72 territorial self-government units (gminas) covering the area of 6206 square km and inhabited by 3041,5 thous. population. It is made up of powiats: the Capital City of Warsaw, grodziski, legionowski, piaseczyński, pruszkowski, warszawski zachodni, żyrardowski, and selected gminas in powiats: grójecki, miński, nowodworski, otwocki, sochaczewski, wołomiński and wyszkowski.
Chapters content was based on the results of statistical surveys of public statistics and data from Marshal’s Office of the Mazowieckie Voivodship concerning geodesic area and directions of use.
