The Statistical Office in Warszawa presents the publication “Population in the labour market in Mazowieckie Voivodship in the light of the National Census of Population and Housing 2021 results” presenting the results of the census which was conducted in Poland in the period from 1 April to 30 September 2021 as of the state on 31 March 2021. The presented publication is a thematic study on the economic activity of the population of Mazowieckie Voivodship. The study contains detailed characteristics for individual categories of the population aged 15 years and more: employed, unemployed and economically inactive. Each of these communities was described in terms of demographic, social and economic characteristics. The publication consists of a synthesis of survey results, an analytical part, methodological notes and a tabular part available only in electronic form. The analytical part was enriched with graphic presentation in the form of maps and charts. The annex comprises tables presenting the 2021 census results on the voivodship level as well as tables with basic data on powiat and gmina level. A wide range of information obtained in the census may constitute the basis for conducting in-depth analyses and taking stock of the changes that occurred over the years 2011–2021. Therefore, basic information is presented against the background of the results of the National Population and Housing Census 2011. As part of this publishing series, subsequent thematic publications presenting the census results will be successively published, including: families and housing conditions. These publications will be available in book form, as well as on the website of the Statistical Office in Warszawa warszawa.stat.gov.pl. By presenting this study, I hope that it will prove to be a source of interesting information on the economic activity of the population for a wide range of recipients of statistical data.
