The aim of this publication is to present information about occupied buildings located in Mazowieckie voivodship on Census Day i.e. 31 March 2011 and about dwellings contained in them.

The volume consists of the general and methodological notes presenting sources of information and basic definitions, of the analytical comment with charts and maps presenting selected phenomena on the territory of Mazowieckie voivodship, and of the statistical tables presenting census results on the level of voivodship, its urban and rural areas and by powiats.

In order to allow analysis of changes that have occurred over nine years selected data has been presented with reference to the previous census, of 2002. In the publication buildings have been grouped by kind and residential buildings have been characterized by their age (period of construction), tenure type, size expressed as the number of dwellings per building and their equipment with sanitation and technical installations. A short note with basic data on unoccupied buildings can also be found in the volume.
