The publication presents the phenomena connected with the economic activity of the population. It contains detailed characteristics of the following groups of population aged 15 and more: the employed, the unemployed and the economically inactive. Each of these subpopulations has been described following its demographic, social and economic characteristics.

The volume consists of general and methodological notes, presenting the sources of information, definitions of basic terms and classifications used, analytical part divided into thematic sections, presenting the most important information, and an annex with tables. The annex comprises tables presenting the 2011 census results on the voivodship level, by sex, age, marital status, education and place of residence, tables with basic data on powiat level as well as tables with coefficients of variation. The volume has been enriched with graphs and maps presenting selected phenomena in the area of Mazowieckie voivodship.
