Summary:
Three review tables containing major data on voivodship in years 2000 and 2005–2012 and selected data on voivodship compared with the rest of the country as well as its subregions in 2012 are presented at the beginning of the publication.
Detailed statistical data on voivodship have been grouped in 23 chapters, preceded by general notes explaining terminology, methodology and scope of information used in the publication. Presented statistical information has been enriched with maps and charts.
In comparison to the previous edition of the Yearbook the main changes in the scope and presentation of the data are:
- in the chapter “Health care and social welfare” data on medical personnel in outpatient and in-patient health care facilities include data on health care services of the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of the Interior and the Internal Security Agency. The chapter has been enriched with the information on specialist doctors, child care, assistance to families, family and institutional foster care;
- in the chapter “Agriculture, hunting and forestry” data on the number of agricultural holdings and agricultural land area for 2010–2012 have been given according to the definition of an agricultural holding introduced in 2012.
In addition, the current edition of the Yearbook presents the results of the National Population and Housing Census of 2011 regarding actually residing population and households.
