Impact of the demographic and economic potential of the capital cities on the condition of voivodships
Cities have a significant impact on demographic and economic potential of the regions. They are human, economic, technological and cultural capital hubs. Cities are a specific form of spatial organization, which features intense build up and high population density. Due to their significance, urban areas are in the centre of attention of both spatial policy of the country, defined in the Conception of Spatial Development of the Country 2030, and regional policy, defined in the National Strategy of Regional Development 2010‐2020.
