Summary:
This publication includes information characterizing living conditions of the society and the state of the economy of the voivodship in units of territorial division of the voivodship.
At the beginning of the publication a review table containing major data on voivodship in years 2000 and 2005–2012 is presented. The second review table presents several aspects characterizing regional differentiation of social and economical phenomena in 2005 and 2012.
Statistical data on subregions, powiats and gminas have been grouped in 16 chapters, preceded by general notes explaining terminology, methodology and scope of information used in the publication. Presented statistical information has been enriched with graphs.
In comparison to the previous edition, the Yearbook has been enriched with a new chapter on “Regional accounts”. In addition, there have been introduced modifications and supplements regarding i.a.:
- internal migration of population for permanent residence by direction;
- persons working in jobs for which there has been performed occupational risk assessment;
- selected indicators regarding completed dwellings;
- persons studying foreign languages within the framework of obligatory education in primary, lower secondary and upper secondary schools, as well as computers in primary and lower secondary schools;
- children’s clubs and family and institutional foster care;
- non-forest areas under and designated for afforestation, and forests not owned by the State Treasury.
Survey results of public statistics as well as non-statistical sources of information have been used while compiling the publication.
