The Sejm of the Republic of Poland, by way of a resolution of June 8, 2017, established 2018 as the Year of Women's Rights. From November 28, 1918, by the Decree of the Chief of State Józef Piłsudski on the electoral law to the Legislative Sejm, women hold electoral rights in Poland and actively participate in the public life of the country. From the 1920s, social statistics document the growing role of women in socio-economic as well as in political life.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Decree, the Statistical Office in Warszawa, willing to express appreciation for the role of women which they play in the social and economic life of the country, presents a study entitled "Women in the Mazowieckie Voivodship".

This publication contains information about the most important phenomena and processes that make up the diversity and changes in the situation of women in recent years. Statistical characteristics of women were presented using charts and cartograms. Most of them contain data for the years 2010-2016, broken down into Mazowieckie voivodship and the Capital City of Warszawa.

I express hope that the presented set of information describing women will prove to be an interesting and interesting material useful for further analysis. At the same time, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all people and institutions who have made their data and information available, and thus contributed to the development of the content of the study.
